In this audio visual, Francesco Strazzari (Sant’ Anna School of Advanced Studies) discuss his work in the PREVEX Project. Strazzari explain the importance of understanding how segmented and unequal society create marginalization and how youth seeking both social protection and mobility become radicalized. Strazzari also stresses the need to better understand the role of women and how abuses, or the perception of abuses, by the state might be the tipping point leading people into violent extremism.
