About
Marzouki is a Researcher at the Centre for International Studies (CERI) and the Principal Investigator of the CNRS funded International Research Network, Contextualizing Radicalization – The Politics of Violent Extremism. She received her PhD in Political Science from Sciences Po in 2008.
Her work examines public controversies about Islam and religious freedom in Europe and the United States. She is also interested in debates about religious freedom and democratization in North Africa.
Marzouki is currently working on a new project on progressive ecumenical alliances and interfaith movements in the United States that advocate social and racial justice, and oppose the instrumentalization of religious values for far right religious and political ends.
