About
Raineri is a Research Fellow in International Relations and Security Studies at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (SSSA). He holds a PhD in Global Politics and a master’s in Human Rights and Conflict Management from the SSSA. Additionally, he holds a degree in Political Theory from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris.
Raineri has worked as a consultant for several international NGOs, IOs and private research institutions dealing with development, security and human rights, with a particular focus on West Africa. His research focuses mainly on the impact of extralegal economies (narcotics, arms and people smuggling and trafficking) on security and development in Africa.
