The University of Leipzig’s Research Centre Global Dynamics (ReCentGlobe) was created in 2020. Formerly a part of the Centre of Area Studies (founded in 2009), ReCentGlobe is an interdisciplinary and interdepartmental research institute and a central facility of the University.
ReCentGlobe brings together more than 200 employees from various faculties and subjects working together to examine globalization projects in the past and present and across borders. The research areas of ReCentGlobe address the questions arising from globalization projects and the global challenges arising therefrom, by placing different social dimensions, world regions and actors at the center of their research.
