PREVEX-researcher and PI Morten Bøås will participate in a seminar on current dilemmas and challenges in regards to stabilisation initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Denmark. The seminar will take place today, 29 March at 12.30-17.00 at Eigtveds Pakhus.
Bøås will participate in the panel ‘Cross-cutting stabilisation in new geopolitical realities’ where he will speak on the basis of PREVEX research findings from the Sahel.
“New geopolitical realities in fragile contexts call for a rethinking of how we work with peacebuilding and stabilisation. In the Sahel, a series of coups have potential to destabilise the entire region. Denmark has been implementing stabilisation assistance programmes in fragile and conflict-affected settings in the Sahel since 2013.”
